Notes
Black Book operates a developer portal at blackbook.com/api/ (also accessible at developer.blackbookcloud.com) that provides API access to vehicle valuation data across multiple segments. All Black Book customers get access to the portal, which features real-time "What If" API testing, authentication management, usage tracking, code samples, and query logs. The portal is partner-gated and requires login. APIs cover used car values (wholesale, trade-in, retail, private party, residual, end-of-term, finance advance, specifications, VIN decoding), new car data (MSRP, invoice, residual values, build and price logic), retail market insights (45,000+ dealerships, 14M listings), custom trade value calculations, medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, recreational vehicles, powersports, and cars of particular interest (collectible, luxury, exotic vehicles back to 1946). No MCP server is documented.
